lolol... yep operculum is the proper name on a pigeon. The similar (but different) structure is called a cere on raptors and some people mistakenly apply that to pigeons/doves too. That would be interesting if they were testicles-- beak into female's vent for sex... it'd be easier to fuck yourself that way. :D
