So I did it... I decided to do a gender switch on the TMNT pair, Donatello & April & named them, April is "Adam O'Neil" & Donatello is "Magdalen" (Magdalen is an artwork from Donatello....) aka...Maggie....
I did this because of a debate I had with a TMNT fan, who wanted to see April as a turtle but I got into my debate pants on & bashed the concept of female turtles that pop up on the turtle world... as you know, how disastrous the whole concept of Venus De Milo is... I am such her hater...You see, I hate the idea of a character created JUST to be a love interest or as a breeder... (Breeder is a character created just to be a love interest & also to have babies...a form of sexism that slips in most stories...most likely to be of the same species or IE mutant....argh....or whatever...usually looking like the character's twin...only with a bow tie & is pink....yuck...) basically Mary Sue.... I have such a fear of creating one with my own characters that I really become paranoid.
As for my fan-pairing...I like characters who were not at first thought of love interest but as the story develops & relationships mature, then I love how you see it blossom between them...or can imagine it blossoming. Or becoming conceivable.
But as I argue this, I am also asked what of children? Well...adopt. There are couples out there that can't pop them out but adoption stories are my favorite.
So aliens & mutants & anthro mixed couples can or can't have babies...(So what? It's media entertainment... if they have mutant babies...remember this...It did NOT really happen...it is a STORY.... lines on paper can marry lines on paper... let us worry about this IRL if the Earth ever has aliens popping up looking to get laid! I am sure the political ramifications would be surmountable... but really? really? Worried about the mixed alien couple having babies???? Then.... then adopt... adoption rocks...also look at the episode of Gridlock... the woman there had a litter of kittens... so ... what is the point of this?)
Shepard & Garrus have little Turian & human babies running around being cute.... I love it.
So then I got inspired... the gender switch! It would help me analyze the whole female turtle concept for me... Also to design a turtle without SHELL-TITS! I for one...HATE SHELL-TITS! Another reason I hated...HATED Venus was those creepy shell-tits... I never got the idea...she was a guy with bitch tits as far as I can tell... it didn't make sense! You can't peel her shell off & tickle them or get a mammogram (Breast cancer kids...breast cancer... always check your tits)! Also... why? I mean...of course there is the idea that she is part human...which is fine... but then they are Barbie tits... It is just... it was stupid.
So I cracked my knuckles & looked up female turtles... & got nothing... but I was looking at Salarians & Turians... & noticed that the design made them slender & have more prominent hips. I liked the idea...so after awhile...I quite...I wasn't inspired anymore. I wanted to throw away the idea. It's just stupid. But I did start thinking of a comic so I doodled it out.
I still hate the idea of chick turtles.. but not so much on the Turtles on being chicks... it is not the BEST idea... but for this short comic, I can tolerate it. I am not sure if I will do it like I do the others. WAIT!!! yes I do....this is the last comic of them!!!!!
I still need to work on my Portal & Mass Effect & TMNT fan-comics... this is just a one-shot.... so no TBC! NOOOOO! This is IT!!!!
