Now hold your horses! I have a comment so mystifying, so amazing, so unreal and so imaginative that the person it's directed to has little choice but to fall to their knees and type, type, type in response, and you're telling me that you are somehow invulnerable to this mystical comment? Not only do I find that preposterous, unbelievable and a flat-out lie, I think that the consequences for ignoring such a comment would range from nonexistent to infinitesimally small. You must look into your heart, and ask yourself just what kind of a person you are for causing an infinitesimally small amount of pain and heartbreak for, not just a fan, but a person! A loyal watcher who took several minutes to type what only he believes to be words of wisdom, a tale of caution. For if you are not careful when dealing with this type of person, who knows what would happen? Nothing? Most likely, yeah. But that matters not, when faced with a situation, a viewer comment so wordy, so tempting, that you just can't help but wonder, why? Why did he sit down and write all of this? Was he trying to provoke a feeling? Just bring attention to himself? Is he bored and just typing away on this page because he can? It's ultimately up to you to decide if you wish to share your thoughts or not, but as you know, and just as the subject matter of this image points out, not every comment necessitates a reply. Almost none do, actually. So no matter how hard he tries, no matter how long he goes on, he knows, deep down inside, that he just may not get what he's after, but is happy and content knowing that if he can successfully bring at least one smile to a person for every 3 winces, then all has gone well. The total lack of concern on the Yoshi's face illustrates an attitude present in comment threads across the internet, and perhaps beyond. People talk, but you don't have to respond. Maybe you just don't want to, or you can't think of what to say. Whatever that reason is, you don't have to share if you don't want to. We understand.
Hmm! I'm one of people on here that tries to respond to every comment he receives, though. (At least, I reply the first comment each person leaves on something of mine; I may or may reply to their reply back to me after that point.)
I think more people should reply to comments they get! I don't comment all that much myself but that's because I barely ever get responses back. But heck, if -I- can do it, then others could too!
Anyways, I like this submission. I've seen this far too often, where some people complain about not getting enough comments, yet they don't really respond to comments they do get. Silly people!

I've gotten slower just since the past few years I've been more pressured for time, but I always love commenting and replying and chatting around with anyone that shares their thoughts, it's fun! (:
I think this mostly just came from all those youtube accounts that ask people to comment their videos, but it's not like they write back, and if they're popular and receiving money from youtube then they do most likely receive too many to write back to, if they're even allowed to. But I know tons of people do this on basically any website out there. It's nice to realize that in cases like these, they definitely don't need them if they're not willing to give anything back.

Commenting is always fun, I love to give and receive comments, though I understand getting a response back is always nice too. Though if it goes to far it becomes a super long chain!
I also would like to just say, that "No." face is just so perfect I can't even describe how it looks, it just fits fantastically haha.

I feel like I heard something about that before! X3 Oh, maybe in my last journal about comments. Apparently people can either be paranoid thinking people that comment their work just want free art from them, or they won't accept their positive words, or... somethin' else. I forget. But yeah wow, some people are a wreck I guess.
Haha oh! Something like that. X3
I think the only kinda excuse I could think of for that is if someone said "Cute" and the artist either was frustrated with one-word or few-word replies, or just expected a lot more from the commenter. But in most cases, especially with people you don't even know well, it's not like they're obligated to say a ton. And not everyone's good at critique, or detailed replies, or whatever other artists want. Most people are lucky to get any comments at all, because a lot of people don't, and as frustrated as you can get with people, if they're really being nice, you should be nice to them back. Doesn't seem tough to me!

Oh! I totally don't mind bein' asked something twice, sorry. X3 I guess sometimes questions do feel like the end of a conversation, even if they aughtta not be. :O
And I think playing Brawl with a guy would be a lotta fun! It's just hard to think of as a romantic date, I guess! But at the same time, I feel like going to an arcade would be a date, or having dinner and playing games would be a date... I dunno if it's because it's a new kinda game or what. :O I'm sorry I'm almost as stumped about it too!

Good thing you asked him first. Now you know not to comment at all.
If they never respond to comments, what's the point of us leaving them? It's especially annoying when the artist ASKS for comments first. But what's more, somebody who writes "plz comment!" on the description doesn't only make me less likely to comment, but less likely to fave too. If I feel pressured into commenting it makes me not want to fave either, because it's too awkward.

It is kinda awkward if there's more pressure to comment like that! And sometimes being so outward about craving attention does push people away. I think on here I'm more likely to run into people selling adoptables or something, and then I don't comment those since they always ask if I'm interested when I do. X3 I run into that more than this these days! This actually came up after realizing all the "Like comment subscribe" people on Youtube and how they shamelessly ask for that even though they won't be replying.
Oh my god no don't but if you aren't serious I'll know because FA's wonderful system will let me know if someone isn't watching me anymore hey wait are you even watching me to begin with I'll never know cause I'll never check but look hey effort so either way I don't think I'm out one watcher whew need those views I mean 840 is nice but if it wasn't 841 I'd just rage delete it.
