wow. this thing was HUDGE! i worked it out to be somewhere in the order of 20,000 individual single crochets and about 190 colour changes. it was by far the biggest project ive ever undertaken in both time and technical difficulty (most yarn gotes to MAPS skeanie). hobbes was made completely off the top of my head, the only refrence being me looking at drawings of hobbes in his soft toy form (the way that everyone but calvin sees him). aside from that, i basically did round after round hoping itd turn out ok. the head and torso is one continuous sausage of about 110 rows i made slits in the side of the torso where i sewed on the legs and i sewed on the tail and ears after i had stuffed him.

this is actually the first fanart ive done of any kind and i plan to make plushies of some of my favourite characters over the years (although most of them will prolly just be 4inch little chibi things that look nothing like what theyre supposed to look like.
