As per his request, the picture features the little fox out for a ride on his trusty tricycle on the sidewalk outside his den - naturally, he's wearing all the requisite safety gear for that sort of play and is being supervised by his Mommy and Daddy who are watching from just off-screen...
My apologies for the delay in getting it out, I had quite a bit of trouble with the tricycle and, in fact, it still doesn't look quite right to me (then again, plastic trikes always look a bit "wrong" to me anyway).
I also had to modify my usual art style a bit so that Jimmy's legs would be long enough to reach the peddles, but I don't think it detracts from his cuteness.

I do say you did a great job with this piece, Kaffre. I never was a big fan of plastic trikes as they seem all bumpy and awkward. However, it's what seems the norm these days and, well, what are you going to do?
My son had a more practical trike that featured a bit of metal that really made it a fun ride for him. Though, he has now moved onto being Scootaloo on his scooter. :) He sure does love to scoot now, too.
I think my favorite part of this pic is your coloring. It looks so smooth and really brings out all that is to be presented here. Plus, it is a definite certainty you are improving on drawing characters. You really have come a long way over these years and it is always nice to see you post to watch just how much progress you truly make with each effort. :)

Thanks Yosh-E!
I actually felt that the colouring was a bit scratchy and weak in the RL version, but it does look quite a bit better in the scan.
Actually, I did at one point try putting Jimox on an old fashioned style trike, but still had problems getting the seat and pedals to look right so it's not just the odd shape of the tricycle - the action is also tricky...
