So i bought a collection of "the Legend of Zelda" graphic novels by Akira Himekawa, i just finished reading the "Oracle of Seasons" book and Maple has always been a cute witch so she inspired me to draw a witch girl. Also expect to see some fanart of a character from those books soon
I figure shes some kind of witch reject, so shes turned to robbing knights to survive, she only robs knights because most of them are jerks, she uses mostly illusions to distract people and then rob them. Her hat is magical and has unlimited space so she keeps all her stuff in it, and when she needs to hide quickly she can jump inside it.
I did two designs, I like the second design (the one on the right) the most.

yeah i had this idea where the story is about a guy roughly the same age as her and he wants to be a knight and thinks they are awesome, and then he meets her. And she tries to rob him but he catches her and lets her go, because he sees she only steals to survive, so she starts following him around. they start liking each other he starts to see that some knights are jerks but wants to become a knight to change that. thats a rough idea any ways
Sounds like a good start. They could become something of a duo who go on episodic adventures. I like what you have going, but will it be a "for fun" series, or one with a greater goal?
Either way it's good so far and leaves open for a wide cast of other characters to appear. Even so with the ones you have planned it should be good. I'd love to talk more about it
