Someone got me thinking about the factions and special forces of each of the races' governments, and this is what I came up with for the Mierden. They're aquatic lizard-folk, so it would make sense that their military force would be largely sea-based, and likewise it makes sense that their special task force would specialize in amphibious covert ops - seeing as they're not very hardy, and wouldn't be very effective in a front-on assault, but they're amazing swimmers, and rather smart, so they use that to their advantage.
And Helldiver just made sense as a name, really.
