(NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: The three Gollemore types seen in this image are not the only kinds that exist in Super Randomness. Since I’m focusing on the species of one Zone at a time, this image only depicts the Gollemore that make the Earthen Grove Zone their home. As such, for convenience sake, any future members of the Gollemore race that I go over will link back here for their history, minus a few minor details pertaining to that particular variant. Please keep that in mind as you read & I hope you enjoy this entry)
Species: Gollemore

History: Golems have long existed as part of the world of Super Randomness. They were tools of ancient kings used to fend their kingdoms against powerful opponents, and few ever dared challenged them. However, the exact point in history where the Golems eventually became the “Gollemore” race is highly vague & debated by modern scholars & scientists to this day.
The earliest recorded usage of Golems dates back to sometime around 249 B.C. According to a stone tablet recovered from a ruined city in the Earthen Grove Zone, a small groups of about ten golems were able to decimate an entire colony of Gorgons with little effort; proving immune to their petrifying gaze as they were already made of stone (NOTE: No records exist to confirm if the Gorgons had it coming or not, but considering recent evidence it seems likely they didn’t).
According to a scroll found in the ruins of the City of Terratropolis, which dated back to 201 A.D., Golems become a mainstay in many armies across Super Randomness. Used as powerful tank-like walls that could both withstand enemy assaults & clear out large crowds of marauders in one fell swoop, many kingdoms across all Zones were able to defend themselves against threats from abroad & further cement their hold in their respective territories. The Golems also proved very useful in the construction of large buildings and monuments, so they were much loved by not just the kings & lords, but the commoners as well.
The year 301 A.D. saw the advent of new types of Golems crafted from elements other than stone. Iron, Ice, Water, Sand, Lava & other such things were very popular materials as they were readily available amongst the various zones, but they DID require quite a bit more mystical energy to animate than the normal stone golems did. This posed a problem as the Mages with the power, skill & experience to animate the Golems were far & few in between; prompting research into finding newer & better ways of animating them.
Now here’s where things start to get a bit hazy. The Year 500 A.D. marks the beginning of the 500 year-long “Great Inter-Zone Wars”. Much of this time in the world’s history is unknown as many documents from that time era were destroyed in order to hide various “questionable” actions & decisions made by each kingdom’s rulers during these harsh times in a vein attempt to look good throughout history. Many documents regarding Golems in that time were destroyed so no one today really KNOWS how the conversion took place, but by the time the war was over the Golems had already become sentient & self-aware. Thus, they were dubbed their own individual species by the then-newly-formed Inter-Zone Council of Elders & given their freedom to make their own home in any zone they wished. Since then they’ve been invaluable allies in the construction of a more peaceful Super Randomness.
The name for the species, “Gollemore,” was first used in the year 1603. Initially, it was a misconception that most people made due to the way Warrior Class Golems speak; slowly with a sort of growling sound at the end. So, with the slow speech & their verbal tic, when ever they said something like “I am a Golem”, it would instead sound like “I… am… a… Gol… lem-rrr”. Eventually most of their kind got used to the name, and in 1604 the name was made official, though some still prefer to simply be called “Golems”.
Habits: Despite their size, strength & somewhat intimidating appearance, most Gollemore are pacifistic & peace-loving. They use their brute strength simply for construction purposes & mining Chaos Ore.
The Gollemore of the Earthen Grove Zone make their home at the base of Bongo Mountain. It is a mining town carved out of the natural stone formations around the base of the mountain. The Gollemore who live there mine the mountain for the vast stores of green Chaos Ore under the mountain for the purpose of either selling the shards to energy-producing companies or using them for their own power source.
Gollemore are all powered by Chaos Ore. The type of Gollemore depends on the color needed, but they all still require a shard of it to remain animate. For most of their kind, all that is required is the proper color shard plugged into the chest in order to animate them, and when that shard runs out of energy (usually in about a month or so), the shard can simply be replaced by removing the old one & plugging in a new one. In effect; this makes the Gollemore technically immortal. However, should the shard in their socket be destroyed while still in their chest, then that Gollemore will then collapse & be considered “dead”. Even plugging a new shard into their socket will not be enough to revive them.
In the Earthen Grove Zone there are three different class of Gollemore. Each one has their own unique abilities & purpose in their community.
Warrior Class are the most commonly associated with the Gollemore species. Their bodies are made of various types of stone. They’re super durable & super strong, making them ideal for heavy-lifting & breaking ground at mining sites. They’re also the primary means of defense for the village against Shadow Demon & Marauder attacks. They will throw boulders at least thirty yards to take out distant attackers, and form defensive walls from their bodies in order to block projectiles.
Despite their brutish strength, though, their minds are incredibly simple. They are also strongly against violence; preferring instead to try talking things out (even though they have a hard time doing so). They would much rather pick flowers & lie in grassy fields than pick a fight.
Despite their mechanical appearance, Iron Class Gollemore posses no mechanical or cybernetic components within their bodies: they are instead made of smooth chunks of iron & iron ore held together by a gravity field that their bodies emit. They are unique as their bodies require both Green & Yellow Chaos Ore in order to animate them, and are only one of two Gollemore in all of Super Randomness that require this fusion of ores.
Iron Class golems are the tech workers of the Gollemore race, and are also often used in Gollemore-human relations on the political side of things. They are super intelligent, and are responsible for much of the more delicate work required in the mining & construction business. They are also responsible for assembling & using the various tools that they use, and are also used to work out the smaller details on construction projects.
Iron Golems have a somewhat arrogant attitude, but they’re not so self-absorbed that they come off as acting “holier-than-thou”. They often end up confusing their larger Warrior Class brethren with large word & small, complicated words, and they can end up getting into arguments because of it.
Clay golems are a relatively new form of Gollemore, first introduced in the year 1928. A glob of clay that was exposed to raw green Chaos Ore started moving as if it had a mind of its own. It also began to grow, and showed a sort…attraction to Warrior & Iron Gollemore. After it reached a certain size, the clay was kilned in a custom mold to bring in the first of the all-female race of Gollemore.
Clay Gollemore are there for moral support of their larger, stronger male counterparts. They act as mediators between Iron & Warrior Classes that get into arguments, and they really know how to keep them all in line. They also manage the shops & businesses for the community, as they are far too fragile for construction or mining work.
Clay Gollemore are also unique as they are the only of their kind that can remain animate without the use of Chaos Ore. Their movements become incredibly slow & stiff, but they can move without them. Another thing of note about them is the fact that despite their lack of legs they’re able to move around very easily. A hole on the bottom of their “dress” forces air down at a very powerful rate & allows them to hover in the air to maneuver around.
Recommended Course of Action: As easy as they are to befriend, never approach a Gollemore with hostile intentions. You just may find yourself a splat on the ground if you do…

Not initially, golems could be found in obscure games and then they began to make their way into more popular things such as pokemons golem, digimons golemmon, and Monster ranchers golem. I think since the start of hand held games they've become more popular and then entered console games, but before they could be found in pencil and paper roleplaying games like D&D
