My parents never even bought me the link-up cable for my GB. Gameshark was like... a thing of legends as far as we were concerned.

Well, my friend had a link-up cable. She traded me a squirtle for letting her copy my homework that one time. We battled only once, she nuked all my pokeymans with her eggsecutor's hyper beam, IIRC.

I remember that. Kids were apparently gambling on the outcome of pokemon battles (cards and gameboys), thus ruining it for everyone. *facepalm*

I think my first was either Yellow or Blue. I've only played through Yellow, Silver, and Ruby.

I love this trick! Mew is so cute in Pokemon Stadium too - if you have the game and the Transfer Pak you should upload it. :D I kind of miss Mew's very first design, the one where it's pretty much white with pink markings instead.

R&B Will always be my favorite gen, Though its close with G&S I loved that one too. I first bought the game without ever knowing what Pokemon was, I just saw this red box with a cool dragon on it. And this blue box with a turtle on it. I picked the dragon, and then I discovered episode 2 (I think?) on TV, with Metapod... Yea... I've been doomed ever since XD My Mew was caught with a gameshark. I tried every trick in the book back then, including missingo, which I caught. And all he borked was my hall of fame XD So I've got 152 on my Original Red <3

oh, and FYI...

I don't think the video mentions if it's safe to fight all those hiker and kid trainers between Nugget Bridge and the slowpoke trainer... but it is. I fought them first, saved my game and then went on to do the stuff the vid says to do. My game froze on the slowpoke trainer so I had to restart but it worked on the 2nd go.

Of course! I had my Pokémon so well trained that all my L100's could pretty easily smoke the same type and species of Pokémon in a 3 - 4 hits. I was the terror of the schoolyard.
