2 hour speedpaint started at 2:30. :P
The original idea was going to be vent art of Nyxis staring sadly into the water while balloons were released from the castle far away, but I ran out of drawing energy at 4:30. X'D Who knows if I'll do any more with this emotion piece, since my muse has gone elsewhere. (Just FYI I try to finish most of my vent pieces in one sitting which is usually at most two hours so the raw feelings really put themselves in the piece. I need to start drawing landscapes faster if I want to put this sort of detail into my "In a Dark Corner" art. :P)
Almost NO references used! (I eventually gave in and looked up Google images for pool water and the hedges because I was having ridiculous trouble with the colors. X'D ) Aw man, and I always have trouble achieving spatial depth in my art, so this one really feels like a milestone for me!

I think that when I first saw this I went to try my hand and draw scenery. I like to think that this is my way of appreciating people whose art I really like.
A month later and I still like those steps and hedges.
Those clouds are so nice and soft-looking. I kind of wish I could hug them.

Heehee, I'm honored to know my stuff is so inspiring, I really am! You seriously have to post your stuff sometime so I can see! =D
I think the next step for me is to work on lighting, so I'll be working in completely greyscale from the start on new speedpaints. We'll see what happens! :P

I have to admit, that was rather unexpected. I will certainly do that the moment I have the time. I will P.M you! :3
:o Whatever you come up with will certainly be informative and pleasing to the eye. May I suggest, if you find yourself in want of a hard challenge, no more than two or three shades?
