Based on what I've seen you do (which is by no stretch everything) I sort of know how you do the fur, tho it does look particularly vibrant hear. So maybe that's the shade of blue or you did something different there? It's the glowing poi (sp?) spin trails that I'm curious about.
Oh, the circles were just playing around with photoshop :) Worked out the three colors I needed to use with the usual traditional media tricks, then drew two circular borders in seperate layers and built up from there. CGI lends itself really nicely to luminance because it's mostly going to be viewed with backlighting (yay for monitors). The darker bits for the blur were just shaded out, same as I could with a paintbrush.
