Yeah thats true, but more and more cities are designating certain areas and walls to graffiti artists and the such, which is cool. I used to do that stuff but got out of it real quick and stuck to paper. and I do agree that some graffiti can be pretty great. most graffiti done by gangs though are usually small and not very good, they are more of a way to mark territories. :I
Yep...when the trains go by, you'll see a dozen cars with just tags of names (interesting font designs on some) and a lot of the *AHEM* more raunchy nature artwork. But every once in awhile you'll see a car done with a lot of colors and design...and you just think--that person could have a future in art or graphic design--it's just that impressive.
Yeah that it is interesting to see all the different styles and works of graffiti artists, and there will always be that one wall with a memorizing design on it. Its sad that most people that get into that line of artistic expression tend to never get out of it, and sometimes end up in jail or worse. :/
I know. It's interesting because there was this guy at FurCon in 2012 who hung out in the Creator's Lounge a few times...he designed badges for his friends with a graffiti motif to them. He had several different styles for the fonts and neat backgrounds...all within a like 4"x6" area. It was fun to watch him work, doing stuff like that.
