As Atari was the lead company at the time of the Console-tan crash, their business was affected rather adversely. Sales of their console-tans plummeted, and their profits quickly went down the tubes. As a result, they stayed out of the business for a few years, until they felt they were comfortable to make one last try, creating a super-powerful console-tan to retake their old lead from newer companies like Nintendo and Sega. The product of this effort was the Jaguar-tan, a strange system with dozens of quirks that never found a secure place in any markets. Though it was advertised as being the most powerful and sexiest console-tan available for sale, the ads neglected to mention that scenario designers had tremendous difficulty creating programs for the Jaguar-tan, and most never bothered to create any for her, leaving very few scenarios for the few Jaguar-tan customers to own. Her failure sank the company, and though they still occasionally create interesting scenarios for other console-tans, they've not yet made any new console-tans, save some remodels of their original girls like the 2600 and pong-tan. Jaguar-tan is still an interesting console-tan to deal with, having very complex controls that at the same time can be too simple for her needs, and due in part to her advertising, is instilled with the belief that she is the most powerful console-tan, even today, making her overconfident and boastful. She can be a handful to deal with, even outside of scenarios, as she is highly competitive but still a bit clumsy and not able to see her own flaws. Still, with some care and attention, she can develop into a much nicer and user-friendly console girl, though trying in any way to deal with the upgrades available to her is a futile endeavor. Recently, it's been rumored that a stock of unsold Jaguar-tans have been upgraded and refitted to serve as medical assistants, though this has not been verified.
