I also though the axe actually broke. And I'd prefer it did; I mean : the axe is clearly great : why did the decapitator left it there?
Also, it has been long enough for a corpse to degradate, but there's no dust on the blade.
And it does seem suspicious to me.
I agree with what Robak said earlier : your chibi style brings Theran even more charm And the fact it stays specific to Theran is a good thing. Only Theran so far sounded childish and that style applied to Kharma wouldn't sound right. An trick you cleverly avoided
