This is a WIP of the splinched* rabbit I'm doing for the Hocus Pocus art show. I'm still fleshing him out (arms need bulking out), but he's at the point where any and all critique would be greatly appreciated. I know you can't tell a whole lot from this picture, but there's not a whole lot of detail right now and I'm only looking for critique on the whole.
The idea is that he's going to be leaping out of a Magician's hat, but the back half of his body never quite fully *reappeared* from wherever rabbits go when the Magician makes them disappear back into the hat. The body is going to transition from "flesh" to a tangle of black wires (think "pixillation") which will be coated in black glitter which I'm hoping will give it a subtle "magic sparkle". I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to work out the transition from white rabbit to black wire tangle so it definitely reads as his body breaking apart into nothingness.
He will be sanded and smoothed and given a little more detail with a dremel tool.
He will be painted and given eyes.
He will be stylized.
He will be mounted in a way that he will look like he's leaping out of a hat.
