I've been snorkeling a few times in my life in the ocean. One of the most memorable places was called "Minnow cave", and was off the coast of Florida.

Really, it is impossible to capture the beauty and color schemes of the biodiversity in the ocean. If the father of color is visible light, then the mother is the coral reef. The soft, wonderful, life-giving conclusion to what it means to have color.

One of the interesting parts about snorkeling near a reef is that whenever a small piece gets dislodged by water currents/animal life/human intervention, tiny hand-sized squid emerge from the mysterious horizon in the waters, and blissfully eat the offering now floating in their waters.

I got to touch one once! It was a lot less like this picture makes it appear, an more like "Oh hey, that squid just bumped me! :3", but it was still a wonderful experience!
