after i did that lay out based on Grey Delisle i was reminded how I'v wanted to draw Yumi from "Hi Hi Puff Ami Yumi" so i figured id kick back and do a pic of her. For some reason I kept thinking of pics by gashi-gashi on DA so I think their style inspired the look of this pic quite a bit. I'm really with how this turned out.

"I wish they had more punky stuff honestly. You can only take so much bubblegum, and their punk stuff is great to get riled to"
"I wouldnt call them bubblegum per se, they really have a classic-rock vibe to the majority of their stuff.
If you want bubblegum you should listen to idol groups like Morning Musume or AKB48."
??? XD

Bubblegum pop (also known as bubblegum rock, bubblegum music, or simply bubblegum) is a genre of pop music with an upbeat sound contrived and marketed to appeal to pre-teens and teenagers, that may be produced in an assembly-line process, driven by producers and often using unknown singers. Bubblegum's classic period ran from 1967 to 1972.[1] A second wave of bubblegum started two years later and ran until 1977 when disco took over and punk rock emerged.
they essentially came from the same roots. It's all pop either way

My point is that when compared to other japanese idol (pop) groups (like Morning Musume and AKB48) Puffy is barely recognizble as pop music, let alone bubblegum pop.
I'm not saying its not pop, im just saying i personally dont consider it bubblegum.
And you shouldnt quote Wikipedia like its the be all end all, it kinda makes you look stupid, no offence.
