Just a Sketch of Allen and Knothole Sonic. A little Back story, Allen Zerox is a clone that was made by Eggman He’s from my Sonic-verse which is a cross of STC and the games. In his story Shattered mirrors - Robotropolis Arc Allen is thrown into the Sat-Am Sonic Verse.
Here is the bit that the sketch is partly based on.
Allen was grateful that back when he had chosen to dye his hair he had picked black.
It was perfect for sneaking out.
Allen liked to think that he was the most level headed hedgehog out of the Sonic clones. But he still had the same weakness as the others.
The need to run.
His own need wasn’t as bad as Spike's or Petals, most of the time he ran to keep up with them and didn’t even feel the need, bit now?
For weeks he had been forcing him self to go at ‘normal’ speeds, and now Allen felt it so badly he couldn’t sleep, he had tried eating something but just hadn’t been able to enjoy the food, he’d try reading, bit it simply didn’t work. He was restless and it could only be soothed by running.
So he had taken his shoes from under his bed, the special Jet shoes that Sonic had made for him using the design of Shadow’s shoes. He had climbed out if his bed room window. Walked to the edge of the woods, his heart beating a little faster as he reached the shadow’s of the trees.
Allen shook his head. *This is so stupid, I can’t risk running here, what if I’m found out? And Why on earth am I getting so exited about going for a run?*
Allen looked back it his bedroom window, but he couldn’t stand another sleepless night and snapping at everyone again.
He turned back to the woods cursing himself a fool with every step he took.
Sitting on a rock a few meters into the dark night time forest Allen put his shoes on. Checked that the jets were working, and took off.
By Chaos...
Allen had forgotten what it was like to run this fast, it couldn’t even be called running, that was to mundane a word. It was gliding, flying, something that couldn’t be described.
And he hadn’t even broken the sound barrier yet.
*Are you NUTS!*
Allen skidded to a stop. For a spilt second he had forgotten about Knothole, he had forgotten about everything but now it’s come crashing back. He can’t brake the sound barrier here, he’d wake up everyone in Knothole and if they found out it was Allen that had gone fast enough to cause a Sonic Boom it would lead to questions that he couldn’t answer.
Remembering that no matter what he not break the sound barrier Allen started running again.
When he saw the sun starting to rise he headed back to Knothole. He could just about see the hut’s though the trees when his jets suddenly died out.
Allen tripped, and fell badly, there was a sickening crunch and fire in his leg. He pulled his face out of the mud and rolled over. His eyes widened for a second before he put his hand over his mouth and looked away.
His leg was not supposed to bend at the mid calf.
Not trusting himself to open his mouth and not throw up what little he had eaten in the past few days, Allen studied the shoe on his good foot. He pulled the soles off and saw that the Chaos drive that powered the jets had died. But one of these things could power his shoes for a year...Spike.
Allen ground his teeth together in anger as much pain.
Spike must have been feeding of the chaos energy in his shoes, even when there were other drives for him to drain.
It was Spike that had smashed the machine that thrown him into this world in the first place.
It was Spikes fault that his leg was broken
It was Spikes fault that his arms had been replaced with metal monstrosities
It was all Spike fault when he saw Spike again he was going to....going to...Allen’s anger broke like glass.
There was very little chance that he was ever going to see Spike again.
No, enough with the denial.
There was no way he was every going to see anyone from his world again, not spike, not Petal, or Amy, or Cream or Big, he was never going to see any of them again.
Allen buried his face in his hands and cried.
And that was how this worlds Sonic found him hours later.
Sure the dark brown eyes held sympathy with Allen for the broken leg, but not as much as the Sonic he knew would have. After all this Sonic, didn’t know about his need. Didn’t know that he was a clone with some of his speed.
To this Sonic he was just a hedgehog he had saved form the city, an orphan with no family.
So no matter what this Sonic done or said to make him feel better it wouldn’t work, it would only make him feel worse.
So here’s Sonic looking worried (and about to get annoyed) because Allen who had been following him like a lost puppy, suddenly won’t talk to him.
Things I don't like about this picture Sonic's arm, gah I simply didn't know what to do with it, and he looks a bit podgy ;_;
Sadly the story is dead. The computer ate it.
