This is a wet plate collodion tintype done in the style of 1850's photography. Like my first picture, this was shot on the Peerless, in a little still life set up we had going in class. If you look closely, you can see only the middle of the trumpet is in focus. When I varnished this plate, it got better, as the tintypes especially get a few shades darker and more contrasty. I'm hoping to paint this one to be the color of the trumpet: Purrrrrple.
