Ok, been working on the next transmission batch, but got side-ended by this whole daylight savings time thing, so have to get them done when I can. But, I figured since we checked in on Spyro a second time, would do the same for Randall. He's still recovering (the vid-pic shows him looking better than he is), but he's able to move a little bit.
So...figured the guy needed something to pass the time...and found an interesting way to do it. I brought a Wii, screen morpher, and my copy of Monsters Inc. Scream Arena. Played this? Don't confuse Arena with gladiator-like stuff...far from it. It's actually a party game based around dodgeball. Weird right?? I beat it in a couple of hours...using Randall. THAT'S RIGHT...I was bringing a copy of a game the guy HIMSELF is in.
Now, know what you may be thinking, but Alma apparently broke the news to him when he got changed for the first time. Her reasoning is that there are a bunch of different dimensions and alternate realities (of which I have encountered. *shudders* Those alternate versions of...nevermind), and sometimes humans hit it on the head with what happens in one of them. We haven't told him how things ended up in the end for everyone else, but he asks. We try to skew the question when we can.
Anyway, he naturally took it...well...lets just say he had to recover-for-recovery after the shock. Don't blame him, try telling a guy his big mistake has been broadcast over an entire planet and you'd want to break things too. But he...seems to have accepted things...
Anyway, so I brought the stuff down and he was interested. Considering this guy's been in swamps for the past decade or so, a game console seemed so foreign. To me, that's a crime against nature, law, and the cosmos!
Of course I had to go IN to the cell to do this, and I told Alma it would be fine. We've talked before and I doubt the guy's going to strangle me for helping him out. Still...she got one of the security drones to tag along...as well as monitoring things herself.
Ah well. Anyway, I set things up and we had a go at things. His upper arms were still healing but...heh...I find it cool he has a backup set he's just as good with. After playing as that blue guy and green guy for a minute or two (watching them get smacked with every kind of ball in the game for some laughs)...he finally started to actually play...as himself. I know, comes off as an ego trip but REALLY...he's the best one to pick for it! Seriously!
He found it weird playing with...AS...himself...but that's his feelings and he didn't really share them. Personally, like said, he was the best choice. Wonder if he'll be better in that Disney Infinite thing I heard about...
I'll probably bring in some more for him sometime, maybe send down some movie discs to help the guy just take it easy...
Though I admit Alma surprised me...saying it was actually good for him. She wanted to test his motor skills and such and it was a good way to do it. Also got him more relaxed, didn't need the painkillers as soon as before, enough to the point he ignored her when he needed a change himself heh.

Well imagine, that was back in 1895 when everything that didn't realy exist was static. They only knew static photografhs and drawings and things like that. So when on a very large canvas the pictures started moving and especialy during the first written film, the train robbers, when the robber points his gun AT the audience people just freaked out.
OH, first EVER film in Paris...
Well I imagine the first moving pictures shocked with both awe and fear that humans were unsure what to make of them. It's a good thing that it was more awe than fear though, imagine movies being outlawed because people were afraid that what they were seeing was actually real.

That would realy have been a shame if that happened, but after the fear wore off people, as you sayd, loved it and as time went by it got more advanced with better effects and quality and so on, to the point of today with 3D technology and intense quality and effects. Altho people did say filming had no future back in 1900s.
Yep, that is the beauty of movies, to show the impossible and amazin and taking you to places beyond your wildest dreams.
And the reason people back then sayd that movies didn't have any future is becouse people used these video cameras as photographic cameras more or less. They just recorded something (train coming to the station, Woman working on the field etc.) And, while people were amazed the first few times, they quickly figured why should they pay for a 46 second track of a train arriving when they can go down to the train station for free and watch an ACTUAL train arrive.
Thins changed tho after the first written film "The train robbery." A train robbery isn't something you see every day and people were thriled to see it on the big screen from up close. It was frightening when people 'died' in the movie, but also exciting for them. The last part where one robber aims his gun at the camera and fires realy made people shit themselves from fright (figuratively of course)

*shrugs* They may not be as advanced as this here Holo-deck, but they're still just as entertaining and awesome heh heh
*prods head* That's probably a reason Youtube was invented, to filter out gems from the mundane and boring.
Interesting choice that it would be a...I guess it's either action/adventure or suspense genre for their first go.

It's good Randall gets to relax, even if the experience is surreal. In some alternate universes he's a hero...just...not this time around. Somewhere out there, there's a Randall hoping to meet him and turn his life around maybe. Alternate universes are funny if you think about them too long.
Now here's a question. Any more tenants you're thinking of adding? And have Randall and Spyro met or used the holodecks themselves? The ship seems interesting and fun.

Yeah...it's weird how he can relax after all he was told...guess 10 years of misery does that to a person.
*shrugs* Maybe it's cause I'm an average joe (er...yeah) but I get what he was trying to do. Back home his place was losing power, so got involved with something to fix it. Ok yeah, so that was sucking Humans...but when you think about it...I wouldn't be surprised if "I" was dissected if I came down to Earth Only thing I don't go with him about is that attempted killings...
Er...not at the moment. Randall's a special case and Spyro's a...research subject as Alma put it. She's got limitations after all.
Met? No, they're unaware of each other. Spyro's in one of the research cells while Randall's in one of the medical ones. As for the holodecks, I haven't brought them in on that...yet heh heh.
Oh jeez...interesting...and fun...not 100% sure I'd describe my time on this ship as that. Though it CAN be...you guys have barely seen what I've gone through on here

Just don't tell Randall he's playing 'with' himself. That might invoke an awkward conversation, heh. But you're a new hope for both of your comrades. Randall has liberation, freedom, enjoyment and happiness to gain by you, and I don't think he'll want to leave your side. You and Alma are stuck with him. And the longer he stays the more attached and dependent he's likely to become. Considering the mentality it takes for one to contemplate murder...he may become obsessed, although this isn't necessarily the only outcome, just one that may bear fruit.
And Spyro used his MAG, most likely when asleep. It indicates some sort of quality to him. A missed out childhood, a desire to want to go back potentially, or just want to hold freedom he's never held as a hero. He's dedicated to saving others' lives, risking his own every-time. Impossible odds come his way, and he has to surmount them. He had a choice, but it was an impossible choice to him, to back down and let the world he loved and cherished be destroyed. He has risen to the challenge without hesitation...but this is a gift for him. His knowledge is sure to be useful, but a willing ally is more useful then a traitorous prisoner. And some may see you in the wrong light.
Harbourer of criminals, Warden of heroes. A stranded reptile alien in his ship, looking desperately for a way home, working with portal hopper in an attempt to find some way, anyway...to the place you know and love.
But for all you know, with your new tenants you might very-well be making a new home for yourself with a new family. Even if Randall and Spyro don't end up feeling like family, Alma will be there.

HA, that is EXACTLY why I put "AS" in the title there so nobody got to thinking naughty thoughts in an innocent situation
*rubs chin* Hope huh? That's a good way to put I think. Certainly makes me feel better I mean there's a lot around what happened to the guy that if you just look and not think so black and white that you might end up having to do the same yourself. He's probably still angry...don't blame him for that...but not about to let him do the whole murder thing. I'm not a real picker for other people's private issues, but I'm guessing this guy's got some story to tell.
Missed out childhood huh? Weird. Got that same feeling from Randall. And personally I...ahem. Anyway...
Yeah...maybe he just got all hot-headed because of everybody looking to him to solve their problems and he started taking it the wrong way. *shrugs* Maybe he just wanted a break but not openly aiming to admit it.
Dude, that was philosophically cool
Family huh...never really...hmm...I wonder...

It's something you might have to consider in the event you can't get home. But if you could, what changes? Would you take Randall with you to be potentially harassed in the manner you were, introduce him to an environment that may very well damage him even more with his current development?
Your ship has an environment unlike any other, and provides a haven to the denizens aboard....you're lucky. Endear yourself to them and have more fun. Find others maybe. Grant them a paradise they can never have and lose yourself in their smiles.

What do you mean harassed as I was??
Well...we're made up of a practically reptilian society...I could maybe swing that he was on the work crew. Probably get him a job through Alex...being a governor gives him some pull and he'd do it when I give him a good show hehehe.
PARADISE? Oh boy...now that...that I don't know about

OH...that's right...forgot that...
CONSIDERING HIS CONDITION AZUL, THE NINJA'S QUESTION HAS GROUNDED REASONING.
WELL...ok yeah...people doubted me and sorta mistook me sometimes...not to mention some...other...problems.
Though he is....well...
...LARGER THAN YOU AZUL?
Well there's THAT...but uhh...well...

He may react violently if his condition is...picked on. You provide him a home, one where he isn't rejected for that new need of his. You provide a place Spyro might indulge in a Childhood-esque life, MAG included.
And you created a sort of world where the majority of your inhabitants like, and use MAGs. A MAG friendly-zone. The only exemption is Alma...
Azul. Don't be ashamed of what or who you are. People have been slain on earth for Race, Gender, Orientation, Believes. But we don't praise the killers for long. We praise those who took a stand for their way of life. We each take our own strides to individual freedom.
We each have a right to happiness. The hard part is finding a compromise.

Violently huh?
YOU MAY, SURPRISINGLY, HAVE MORE RESISTANCE TO RETALIATION THAN HE DOES AZUL. THOUGH THE ARBITRATOR IS NO PLEASURE CRUISE OR STARSHIP HOTEL HOWEVER...
Not necessarily a "like"...
I FEEL IT NECESSARY THAT I AM AN ASSISTANT TO CREW AND SHIP, NOT SOLELY A CARETAKER.
I'm not ashamed
I BELIEVE YOU ARE REFERRING TO HUMANS YES? THE RACE IS INDEED...VERY VIOLENT, AS IT HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Whoa whoa...careful Alma. Don't go thinking like that nutjob program Memphis alright?
MEMPHIS' OPINION ON HUMANS WAS FROM A MILITARISTIC POINT OF VIEW AZUL. UNLIKE HIM, I DO NOT AIM TO ERADICATE A SPECIES THAT SUFFERS FROM A COMMON BANE.

A good point. But neither choice was wrong.
*tosses you a piece of candy from his right paw.*
Each has their merits. In an ideal world, where a problem isn't faced...It's like a flower grown in a Greenhouse. It's beautiful.
But...a world where there's adversity, and trial. A flower grown in nature, that survived to become beautiful...it's precious.
Every problem makes you a better person for overcoming it. So I guess....don't be gloomy if things get rough is what I'm saying.

Well he can't get home. I know Azul is a strong individual for having come so far inspite of ridicule or challenges. But he can't return home now, and he's got two other people to look after in a way, if not more in the future. Things aren't going to get easier, and I want him to know he's got some fans. You too Alma! Guess that's all.
