I took an online course about digital signal processing and music. The instructor recommended that we all record a one minute song for the course, although it was not graded. The limitation was that it had to be less than one minute, and could only use sounds from the Soundation website (you can use their loops and MIDI instruments), and only from the free version. I had a couple hours before the deadline (though later found it wasn't really a hard deadline). I'm not terribly impressed with the free libraries, but then again, not that much for the paid libraries either. Anyway, this is what I came up with.
