A sketch of my almost forgotten namesake.
Eclipsis was my first true macro character, before I even heard the term "macro." Not like, stereotypically giant, but a 5ft shoulder height fox is not something you see everyday.
So to suggest his natural, large size, I try to draw him with a heavier build. All of my -sis character exist in a sci-fi storyline, so I have to be somewhat reasonable. (although this story, part of the major plot was conventional physics, as we today know them, became rather skew; long story if I were to ever start writing that again)
You might also notice that he is one of the few big eared characters I draw with them normally fully erect.
I do not consider him a fursona or anything. Just a namesake or mascot whatnot. I've almost never referred to him by first person. But he does predate my DeviantArt account, which is where my internet life began pretty much, over 8 years ago.
Fun fact. I never really drew true, anthropomorphic characters until about a year after I started drawing July 2004. I only started after an ex-friend put me up to it.
...I was drawing top heavy characters from the very start now that I think of it. A guilty male pleasure I guess.
As for my normally feral characters, I don't really like to draw them anthro anymore.

You don't really need to draw them anthro, I always prefered them as ferals or quads or non anthros, whichever term you prefer.
Even at 5ft Eclipsis is certainly pretty big! To the point where he'd almost seem macro, just by being like.. the size of a large car.
Either way, you drew him really well, and its nice to see you draw him again.
