Not exactly minus an ear but certainly minus a not being in a hell of a lot of pain, Billy screams, giving Aries a chance to headbutt him and dash for the workbench in the basement.
But uh oh... Billy's mother is calling down to see if the ham is ready.

It's only a kitchen knife and not a very good one at that. Like the plastic-handled kind you get at Big Lots in a set that costs no more than ten dollars, block and all.
This is actually something I had to ask my cousin, the marine about. He said it's better to have your own two hands than an unreliable weapon.
So yeah, while it *would* intuitively seem like a good idea to keep hold of the knife, it's just not a weapon. Besides, there's the inherent problem of killing them... No Ertons, no testimonial. No testimonial, and all they've got is a raw mercenary standing over a mother and child with a bloody kitchen accessory.
So tricky as it is, without her weapons as leverage, she's outnumbered and outgunned. She'll need to come up with some manner of tactic to employ.
And like it or not, at least one of the perps has to be kept alive!

He did a great job animating grace, but the bosses went with Pixar and then shot his ass to spaa-aace!

But hey, at least she's free and not sizzling pork right now. All she has to do is keep it that way. With a accomplished magic user and a crazy mother in the house, how hard could that be?
