you HAVE to have at least 2 and you MUST stay ontop of keeping their litter box and dig box (two completely different boxes) and cages clean so they don't stink :) plus you need a ferret proofed area for them to play. Mine have a 12 sq food play pen to play in. they do make AMAZING college pets though, since they sleep for 20 hrs a day I don't have to feel bad about spending 12 hrs at school and 2-3 hrs on hw while looking for work :) I spoil them to the greatest extent I can afford hehe
