As much as FG had experience travelling across space, nothing can still prepare you for time travel. From the prehistoric era where he was quite at home, to 2300 AD where he...felt quite at home, he had begun to take on some strange appearances after time with a certain amphibious swordsman (and I use "man" loosely).

(Chrono Trigger was one of the few non-Final Fantasy RPGs Squaresoft developed, experimenting on other story ideas as they were fleshing out their flagship series. A thing which sadly does not happen much nowadays, considering the several underrated games they created that didn't involve two Fs in the title).
