posted about a contest about a month ago, and I decided to use this as an opportunity to draw fanart for an artist I like, be productive when the urge to doodle something that isn't a commission strikes me, and most of all to learn my way around Manga Studio. I got the program on the cheap during black Friday online sales, and haven't learned it enough to do an actual commission in it with confidence. I still don't think I'd use it for something someone paid money for, but the day is fast approaching. One more picture, colored, and I'll be good to go. I really like the program so far.

I chose to draw Monster Prince and Sir, two characters of :usernameEnjoiPandas: and :usernameMs.Delicious: that I like a lot. I wish I could have colored this, too, as the Prince has a lot of beautiful colors to him, and the shadow effect with Sir behind him would have been neat. I may go back and use this picture as practice later.

I also went out on a limb and designed some clothes! Monster Prince has a huge array of outfits to chose from already, but I wanted to make something unique. Also, I didn't understand how to draw his nipples, so I hid them, ha ha. I was going for a look based on snow-puff shapes. He was to look dainty, white and pure in the foreground, all highlighted against the gray and black shadow of Sir in the background. I also think white would go well with his pretty hair colors c:

I hope I did these characters justice. The more I think about it, the more I really do want to color this. I have the image too planned out in my head to leave it now!
