It's a natural coloring found once in a while in domestic rats. It's called "odd eye" basically the same thing as heterochromia. Two different colored eyes, basically. I have a rat like that, his name is Frakenstein haha.

Naw, I don't think so. It's just a rare recessive thing. It's not genetically inheritable, either. It's random luck. As far as I understand, anyway.

I've got a Russian Blue Blaze Dumbo with the odd-eye coloration. I nicknamed his red eye as his Demon Eye. Nice suit and adorable rat by the way!
