I don't know why this never got uploaded anywhere but on Nabyn :| This is one my most time consuming pieces ever...but I can't say I'm not pleased with it.

This started out as part of a tryptich I was working on, as a sort of...I don't know, promotion for my big graphic novel, the one I'm shoving ALL of my time on...But the other two never worked out, and I never had the time to work on them that I did on this. I'd like to revisit the one of them i DID finish, and actually DO the other one...

Well, the intent was never to keep it on black, it had a heavily textured yellow background that was going to be shared between the three.....each in a different color. But the other one looked really trashy, and the black made the lighting pop so well, I kind of just...left it XD

The intent WAS for it to be a gryphon, hence the awkward body and overly puffy cheek. But its been coming of as pretty much just an eagle to most, so take it as you will ^^
