The first of three related sketches I found, all undated, that I decided to scan. The other two are mud/quicksand themed, and this one petrification. It was shaded with a common ordinary pencil. The story attached was scribbled along the side of the drawing, but I've tweaked the writing a bit and used the type tool from Photoshop to ensure legibility.
