"Gods, Devils, what was the difference?
Those who play with the lives of mortals deserve no respect.
Thus, we built him. The God-Killer. He is mortal, but eternal.
How could a mortal outlast gods? Gods are never-changing over periods of time... Mortals are not. They adapt, change, develop, learn, and grow... Then, they die. Fade away.
Gods, they do not die. They do not learn. They simply know.
We needed a vessel who could die and be reborn again and again, who could continue to learn and whose body would adapt to anything over a period of time.
Maybe he wasn't as perfect as we had hoped.
But over time, he has proved his worth and abilities.
He has proven, that even if unchanged by it...
...Time kills all Gods."

holy cow, this is really, really stunning, and i'm trying to think of what to even say. D: i absolutely adore your lineless painting skills, there's so much depth and detail and texture in his face and feathers that it feels like you can just touch it. the whole atmosphere is just really perfect, especially with the bit of writing you did with it. i really missed your stuff like this, you should keep it up. <3
To be honest I didn't really use a reference for this because it was a very spontaneous doodle. xD; I'm kinda in the middle of redesigning this guy, he's this demonic thing with a mix of hawk, stork, and chicken as far as his avian form goes, so sometimes I kinda guess at things. Admittedly though, I agree, the nostrils are definitely a bit higher up than they should be. I'll certainly keep that in mind for the next time I doodle him and while I work on his design more -- I appreciate the offer for a redline as well, but I don't think I'll be coming back to this picture again, and looking at a few birds I can certainly see how you mean. Thank you for pointing it out, thiough! It helps loads.
Most enjoyful this collective presentation of yours. I find the subtleties of blended darkness and the shadowed hues amongst it to be a pleasing sight indeed. Impactful in it's words and most curiously entertaining a concept. They do the same mind wanders with just the proper snippets of insight. Powerful, alluring and alternatively in it's own way, subdued. Do keep up the good work now.
