When Riley is asleep and in REM on her warm hard foam, her Snakies awake and get to use more of the main brainpower. So they do what other snakes would do if they were tied off 32-fold to a sentient brain. In this case they are reading Riley's diary, playing hemisphere-team poker (and manage to cheat at it), dribbling a ball, watching their version of Skinamax - The Nature Channel, or just dreaming themselves. Oh man, I LOVE seeing all the stuff you came up with for her snakes XD I think they're my favorite part of Riley. The one reading the book cracks me up XD Well, they all do, really. And I dig how the lighting came out. Very nice! And of course, I love the plushy cameo for my little blue dragon ;3 She's quite snuggly in all her forms <3
Very Cool, I am glad you like it! The snakes are fun to draw, they do not get to do all that much when Riley is awake other than writhe and hiss. Only when her attention is diverted to they get to be more of themselves.
And I am sure the plushie dragon helps Riley sleep more easily. Maryn's snugly-ness is one of the reasons these two characters seem to go together.
