Was doodling the other day. Uh. This thing came.
It's a.. SPACEPIG.
These little critters will be for sale. I'll have a sheet of some up within the next few days. Prices will range from 2$ to 5$ depending on how complex the design is. Lineart will be reused, headshots will be given after the design is purchased. For 1$ extra, I can turn it into a reference like this one.
Some random tidbits of information -
Scientific name: spatium porcus
Habitat: Lightly forested areas
Diet: Mostly a herbivore, though has an omnivorous tendency
-Males max out at around 2ft at the shoulder & 250lbs. Females 1.5ft & 175lbs
-Mostly blind, they get around by sniffing + their excellent hearing.
-A bit sensitive to the sun, they prefer the shade of trees to keep cover.
-They do not sweat, but roll around in various things to keep cool AND hide their scent.
-Prayed on by various creatures, their defenses are their tusks & back spikes(this helps protect them from being attacked from the behind. Both sides have these rows of spikes)
-Their canines are not to attack, but are for show/mating rituals. Males have slightly larger canines than the females.
-Males 'dance' to win the attention of the female. Two males will stand on their hinds and jaw-spar. The spurs on their legs are often dug into the opponent.. lets just say, winning a lady is a very bloody sport.
-They can be seen in groups of mostly females, with one or two males at the top spot.
-Breeding is in the fall, kits are born in the spring. 1-3 kits are born. They are extremely highly developed, and are able to travel with the group soon after birth. Females will breed again next fall.
-Sexual maturity is at 3 years. They can live up to 15 years.
