You saw that picture and you guessed right: My (probably) next project is that beloved song of the GoofyMovie!
Since 2 years when I first saw that movie I got back to that song somehow from time to time. Probably because of how incredibly touching that was within the movie, and still today this song gives me heavy goosebumps.
Also 2 years ago, just before I watched the movie - actually THIS was the conclusive catalyst - I heard a partial cover as a project of
engdrag. That was the moment when I knew: I have to watch this!
And the movie WAS that great, just as the song!
But just a week ago I thought checking if that project was ever finished, but it wasn't, due to a file loss. So I decided to ask him if we might do it together...
And here we are. :D
I will sing Goofy and he will sing the part of Max. :3
Although this might take some more time until it's finished, I've the feeling that this will become really awesome.
So make sure you DON'T MISS IT, if you are a fan of the movies and the respective series!
This file here is more or less raw MIDI data without much suspension or expression, but that will come as it will be supported with samples (thanks to my partner)

In listening to this while creating our voice over of the song, I noticed something at the beginning that was not consistent with the original.
If you listen to the toms used at the beginning, they go: beep, bip, bip .... beep beep, bip, bip (sorry for the horrible attempt to depict musical notes in text, but...)
If you listen to the toms used in the original, they go: beep, bip, bip, boop ... beep bepp, bip, bip, boop
Was this because there was no lower tom, or because you missed the note?

I actually missed that sound, or forgot about it, as i was lost in other details. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing, because the sound I hear is rather a hollow wooden block than a lower tom. The only low pitched sounds in the intro are AFAIK bass or bass clarinet.
And just by the way, the percussions in that section appear to be bongos to me.
