Chapter 3
Starscream had fallen asleep at the table. Or rather what Airbrush assumed was sleep for a robot. She carefully walked to the edge of the glass dome encasing her and nudged it with her nose, slowly and carefully sliding it across the table's surface to the edge.
She had just gotten it far enough to get out when the doors to the lab flew open and knockout came inside. Starscream started awake, the first thing he saw was Airbrush's enclosure dangerously close to the edge of the table and quickly slid it back to the center. Airbrush scowled and curled up in her now magled pile of cloth.
"Found out anything interesting? or is she so boring to study that you fell into stasis."
"I'll have you know I've been working round the clock tirelessly studying her as thoroughly as I can, after all she is a mythical creature certain care must be taken when crossing new territory. I… I must've simply drained my power reserves."
"Well you seem recharged now… I'll warn you Starscream the others are getting restless, you've been cooped up in here with this thing for days. They're starting to talk. I wouldn't want your leadership put into question."
"HMPH! I'll show them whose the leader around here… " he rounded on the glass dome. "and you… behave while I'm dealing with the rest of the base."
The doors shut, taking Knockout and Starscream out with them. Airbrush set to work again on the dome, scooting it to the edge of the table, this time squeezing her way though and landing none too gently on the floor below. She searched around for a place where she could get out but to no avail, the room was sealed up tight. She sighed, without being able to fly for the moment her options were limited.
She opted for a few discarded robot pieces that had been placed near the doorway, it would still be a mad dash to get through it when it opened but Airbrush was willing to try. She hid under the discarded metal, and waited. Outside the room there was a loud argument taking place, from what she could hear through the door was Starscream attempting to assert is dominance over the rest of the deceptions. It wasn't long before the fight became physical, and she cringed when she heard the sound of metal rending against metal. She wasn't certain which side the robot called Knockout was on but it seemed as though he was defending Starscream, for now. The clamor outside suddenly fell silent, it only lasted a few moments before Starscream's voice cut the air.
"And if I ever hear about you questioning my leadership again I'll do more than just re-wire your hard drive!"
The Door flew open now was her chance. She was about to move from her hiding place when Knockout stepped right in front of her path. "Well that went better than expected."
Starscream groaned, holding a damaged chest plate. "Speak for yourself, Knock out."
"Well why do you think i followed you back? You need a few repairs."
"You're loyalty will be greatly rewa…" Starscream paused, looking at the dome where Airbrush was supposed to be. "Er…. go go see to the others first… I'm fine… We wouldn't want them getting suspicious after all."
"But… "
"GO!"
At that command Knockout quickly left the room, as soon as he was gone Starscream sneered. "Come out little pony there's no use hiding from me."
Aibrush had made it to the door but not before it had closed in front of her face, causing her to plow right into it. Dazed she tried to grasp her bearings but Starscream had already heard her.
"AH HA! there you are you little…"
He moved to grab at her with one hand the other keeping his damaged breast plate against his chest. Aibrush scrambled under another pile of metal but it was too late. He had her by the tail. "HA now I've got…" There was a loud pop and in an instant Starscream seemed to vanish, when the dust cleared a thin, middle aged human dressed in a long grey jacket and vest stood holding her tail, looking bewildered. "….you?"
Starscream looked down at himself and then up at Airbrush who looked just as confused. "What…. what did you do!?"
Airbrush flicked her tail out of his grip with a small huff.
"ME? I didn't do it! only unicorns can do magic." A smile cracked Airbrush's face. "Hehhee oh pony feathers you look weird… well weirder… I guess… your just a little bigger than me HA!"
"TURN ME BACK THIS INSTANT! If anyone sees me like this…"
"Starscream?" Knockouts voice rang out from beyond the door. "at the very least let me fix your chest plate… Starscream?…. Lord… Starscream…."
As if he had just remembered something Starscream grabbed his chest.
"HIDE" he hissed at Airbrush and after a moments hesitation she ducked under a pile of parts with Starscream following behind her.
"Starscream?" The doors flew open to Knockout who looked inside the room bewildered. "Thats… odd he was just here… "
Starscream put his free hand over his face, the other still clutched his chest. Airbrush paused, ear ears folding. "you're hurt… "she whispered.
"Whatever you did to make me this way seems to have also translated the damage I took… "
"I didn't…"
"Quiet… wait until he leaves."
The doors shut again a few moments later and Starscream gave a sigh of relief.
"You…. are you still a robot?"
"No… I'm organic like you now…"
"We need to get out of here… you'll bleed to death if we don't get you somewhere."
"What do you care? You're my prisoner remember?"
Airbrush sighed. "Listen, you know the way out, I don't. And you need my help if your going to get back to your old self, right? So I propose we work together to get out of this little mess."
"And what guarantee do I have that you won't just fly away and leave me to rot once we're outside.?"
Airbrush ruffled her injured wing. "you 'damaged' it remember? even if I could I'd feel pretty bad leaving you alone. So whatcha say… trust me?"
Starscream sighed. "I don't see how I have much choice."
"AWESOME! now first things first… how do we get out of here…?"

I felt it did more justice to his character than the Hector clone i was basically attempting to design. So i don't own the concept.

To be honest that was an option but it limited how he could interact with others, I figured having one pony in the universe was enough. Im tackling enough fun issues having a pink pegasus running around. ( I also wanted to kind of sink any speculation i was going to turn this into a slashfiction, by making him an entirely differnt and still very alien species to her.)
