-K here,
I found this little drawing on GEAR's desk (or "Char," as he's begun to name himself). This was one of the guy's most recent experiments. Something about an un-recorded species known as "beasts." His friend seems to know more about them though, so I've begun to do some research on his page here:
Arctic_Fatass Strange stuff.
Char decided to interview these creatures to get more information on them. And apparently also a DNA sample. Now, just a reminder, Char is no longer an official member of GEAR Science, being kicked out for multiple "self-tests", yet he continues to perform grotesque experiments in his lab on random victims. This time he decided to test out some of the beasts DNA with less-than-satisfying results.
I managed to get his rendition of the event onto the photocopier, so it clipped a bit. Here's how it reads:
Panel 1:
Char: Thanks again for coming to this interview
Marissa: My pleasure! I need the money and I've been training to be a lab assisstant.
Char: Well, so far a full-time job is looking good for you.
Marissa: ...These caramels are delicious by the way.
Panel 2:
Char: Thanks. They're my own recipe. Melted caramels.... Gene carrying viruses... and of course the secret ingredient...
Panel 3:
Char: "Beast" species DNA
Marissa: What... what's happening to me?!
Panel 4:
Char: I decided to use a virus this time, mixing things up a bit.
Panel 5:
Char: Hm... looks like the adipose tissue grew faster than the bones could deteriorate and rebuild to something your shape. Thought you'd be mobile for this...
Panel 6:
Marissa: AHHHHHHH!!!
Char: Ah, that's a unique feature to the "beast" species, the adapted abdominal muscles and navel. Used by the heavier sub-species to obtain food.
Last panel:
Char: uh-oh...
Uh-oh indeed. The creation he had made went off and destroyed his lab. Yet again. It's sad he didn't learn his lesson the first time, but I'm not going to sympathize for him.
