*I wasn't going to put this up here, but then I remembered furaffinity or not, there are still people on here that would probably appreciate seeing some Sweeney Todd fanart.*
In the movie their clothes were different during that scene, but w/e I don't really care.
The sketch was more detailed, mainly because of how I drew it. Ever heard of the type of sketching where you don't ever let your pencil tip leave the paper until you're about done with the bulk of it? That's kinda what I did. Except for their faces, the whole thing is one single swirly, sketchy, jagged line.
I tried to make Mrs. Lovett's hair more like the original style featured on an advertisement for the play, and tried to retain the movie style as well. Her dress isn't quite the same, and I don't think the corset had red on it, but w/e. Refrences are hard to find.
My mom said when she was little, she would watch the play on PBS every night for weeks. I found it suprising she liked it, but she said she loved the goriness of it all and how pretty it was. When I asked her what she thought about Burton's adaptation, she said it was done extremely well in comparison, and even the gore was just like the play's.
I can assure you as soon as the movie is out for dvd, I'll have it, and will be able to recite every song on cue, and sing every part.
It's the same thing I did with The Nightmare Before Christmas, like, years ago, and I still know the most of the songs.
I'm an obsessive freak, sorry.
