Background/History
A member of the Umbra Claw Unit; an underground specialist group of Bakeneko primarily utilized in the capture or elimination of their own kind. Umbra Claw Units are shadow warriors, night stalkers, utilizing their affinity for mysticism and power into assassin techniques rather than arcane offense and defense. They use their trickery and magic to aid their armed and unarmed prowess while heightening precision striking.
Not much is truly known of the Umbra Claw Unit, usually excused as a myth, scare tactic or conspiracy, these are bakeneko many question to even exist. Through the shadows of their history and mythos, Karma was raised. Though their kind has been known to live long lives, graduation is swift considering or the student will have perished in the training. Though bakeneko are more than capable of living for hundreds of years, graduation is a 30 year process for the Umbra Claw Unit.
Karma has endured much from his earlier life living under the “care” of the UCU; torturous training, and seemingly endless tests of endurance, he had suffered trauma no child should suffer to prepare his body and especially his mind to condition for these teachings. Many haunting terrors have once plagued his mind for months from the vigorous mind condition tests and his body has been put to the breaking point of death.
Though thought to be far too young to endure the life of a UCU, Karma has been a constant exception to the rule, proving his will and resolve to be stronger than any adult. Karma has shown his capabilities as a UCU soldier countless times, earning him a rather sizeable kill count despite his age and limited experience. Karma is the proof to a stronger future for the Umbra Claw Unit and his potential has only been partially tapped. The sweetest of fruits not yet ripen.
