Only the front right fender and left rear fender were intact. I found the other two and sort of "reconstructed the car a bit. The roof had been removed as well and I wanted to put that back on but it weighed too much for one person to move. Notice the vine growing over the front. Yes, that is a live vine, not a branch!

Fuck man! You hit the nail right on the head! It is exactly as you said, 1954 Buick Riviera. I never would have thought since I love this car but could never remember the name, I don't see the air intakes though. It was missing that chrome stripe on the sides that makes that car so iconic and the top is off. The lights match, same wih the aft end and tail lights along with weird way the metal was curved around the lights instead of forming a hard angle. Poor old bastard, crashed and left to rot in the wood.
Yeah, hard to believe there was a time this was just another used car. Every time I see one of these cars abandoned in the woods I think how cool it'd be to own and drive one in working condition. The intakes are hard to see at this angle, but you can just barely make one of them out behind the vine. A friend suggested that it might be that. I probably never would have known given how wrecked it was. Fortunately some key components still remained that could tell you what it was.
