So figured, since it's been a while, I'd post up some RSE tracks of tracks that me and my band are working on. Next up, our first instrumental: Into The Abyss.
That's right, you heard me. An instrumental. This one is an interesting beast and actually, we're able to play this one as we speak, just not on the live set quite yet. Between some interesting chord progressions this one was a challenge at first. For one, the majority of the song is written in 3/4 and laced with triplets everywhere. Skyler loves writing experimental riffs and this was no different. It was triplets, polyrythms, odd numbering in measures AND a clean intro. Pretty damn snazzy and sounds beastly.
