Fighting shadows

Standing in a firm fighting stance the freelancer lifted his weapon, a razor sharp polymer katana. A slight breeze rippled through his purple asian styled headband keeping his rather stubborn hair out of his eyes. His armor vest was secured snuggly around his chest and should keep him save from most ordinary attacks. The creature he was facing however was far from being ordinary. Whatever the reason, the lynx in front of him was grossly mutated. Long sharp teeth, equally sharp claws that could easily rip through about anything and some sinister intelligence glowing in the cold eyes. Even the raggy fur looked more like a set of needles than hair.
Still the bear was smiling. He was confident. He was the hero ...
Outside of the Ghosty's fantasy and shadow world anyone peeking into his room would observe a totally different scene however.
A young, little bear standing on his bed, dressed in a comfy, soft and slightly padded looking footed sleeper, some pillows wrapped to his chest as "armor" and a strip of cloth tied around his head. His weapon was a short stubby toy sword and as for his opponent.... Sascha had put his beloved plushie on top of his wardrobe and propped up Sammy's paw a bit so he looked "threatening".
Didn't work in the slightest, but it didn't matter.
The only thing you need is a bit of childlike, innocent fantasy.Aaaand another great picture, done by the highly talented
Kampfkewob
Thank you so very much for that awesome picture. Really love it ... the difference between the real world and the shadows, the lighting, the details. Just wonderful. ^_^
It was a pleasure commissioning you again. :3

To battle!
But Sammy can have half of my cookie afterwards.
I made Peanut Butter Cookies with pieces of Reese's cups in them
It realy pays of to watch you for this cute child pics. :)
I always think about my own childhood when I see something like this.
But I was a Power Ranger. *g*
I need that sometimes.
Oh and I was a pilot, a fighter, an engineer ... or sometimes a fighting pilot who works as an engineer ;)
10 Minutes later somebody is totally tuckered out and fast asleep with Sammy
