This was a commission I did several years ago. I learned several things doing the piece. One of them was how to do scales in large quantities without going bug bonkers. Also I learned a lot about about how buildings fall apart. Unfortunately this information was bestowed upon me after I'd finished the piece, but it was this piece that stimulated the person into saying something about the subject. The image is about 15"x 20" and the medium is color pencil with some marker, gouche and micron pen detail.

Yeah, half of making the picture work right was me sitting back and figuring out how I wanted to approach the scales. In the end I figured out a way of putting the color down in a somewhat mass produced fashion but there still was over four layers of color and up 9 different colors used per scale.
I didn't actually expect to get anything from it. Its just one of those wistful things that I think of whenever I see something particularly detailed or interesting. Besides, if it was possible I'd probably start asking to see most of your pics. ;) At least I get to imagine and infer details this way. :P
This is such a cute picture. Lol, I love it when there are little things like this :3 cuuuutttee! lol, I'm new to your gallery and going to dig around to find more nuggets like this, but faved! and... you did okay with the building deteriouration... I mean, it could be better, but good freakin shot on the first try <3
