This is similar to digital painting, but easier to do, and not so refined.
I'd take $20 for a piece like this one. One character and simple (nature) BG. More characters or artificial BG would be more expensive. Feral or taur character would be cheaper.

Wanted to paint some fields... so yeah, a teen Kôya! Back then, he was a simple farmer, user of dark and ice magic... Hard to believe that now he's the Prince of Darkness, one of the greatest gods of the Celestial World!
The deep and remote lands of the Black Tribe... such a peaceful place!
