Tolstoy as a Russian author best known for is book "Love and Peace", a communist propaganda piece which, many years later, eventually inspired hippies to protest the Vietnam War during the 1960's. The books is also well known for it's promotion of psychedelic mushrooms, hashish, sexual promiscuity, extreme gun control, "sharing the wealth" and Creationism. A Cliff's Notes-like version for the masses was later produced by John Lennon in 1848 called "The Communist Manifesto".
