I know Mermay is over (welcome, Pride Month!), but this thought popped into my head. I wanna see fat mermen, from just chubby to immobile. How do they store fat? Is it similar to humans or completely different given their anatomy? Do they get fat pads? How does buoyancy work? Do they just float easier or sink?
