Since I keep running into this problem time and again myself, I'm writing this for anyone who doesn't understand what is happening themself if they also keep having this problem whether they're buying or selling designs.

If you are from the States and can't seem to figure out why you can't buy items from people who live in primarily Russia when offered their boosty or hipolink it's because those sites no longer accept American credit cards as valid tender nor do they work with paypal anymore.

The reason I know this is because I used to have zero problems with these two sites and used them regularly to do business with artists who live overseas, however, now I cannot use those sites for anything and instead just constantly get error messages popping up left and right about how it's not able to process the payments.



The only site available for people that I've found that still works for Americans and Russians is LavaTop. It is the only site still willing to process paypal transactions thus it doesn't require a credit card directly typed onto it that causes it to fail out because it sees it's from a different country.



I cannot of course demand people use LavaTop but I highly suggest if you often buy or sell adopts and you know you do so with people who are American or Russian that you make an account on Lava because as it is now, Hipo and Boosty have decided that transactions between the two countries are no longer viable and are actively stopping people from doing so which is detrimentally to the livelihood of some artists and a little depressing for those who can no longer support their artists due to countries acting foolish over currency.
