Just a short review of the Super Mario Galaxy movie, which I just saw with my roommate.

* References are obsessively thrown at you, but they're mostly not intrusive enough to break from the story.
* The story was more in-depth than I expected, from the reviews I heard, but it felt less connected to itself than the original.
* Fox is there. Yeah. He's there, alright. Just... the cocky cocksucker himself. There. In the movie. Yup. He does things. he sure does...
* Did NOT expect them to acknowledge in a weird way a longstanding fan theory of Rosalina and Peach, but there you go. Now I can't look at porn of them together the same way...
* Yoshi is there. Does more than Fox, I guess. Doesn't talk, actually, just makes Yoshi noises.
* R.O.B, with the "Sloth working the DMV" gag from the first Zootopia. Hah. Comedy...
* Bowser and Junior's interactions are cute.
* And the fan favorite as a *SPOILER* makes 3...
* Oh, Wart as a casino mob boss. Cool.

Sorry, didn't want to spoil much of anything. Overall, it was pretty nice, but probably not as good as the original. Not NEARLY as bad as the critics make it out to be, though.
