Been in the community for more than a decade. Had an account on here where I used to do more, but after lurking with it for a while, I decided to abandon it for something fresher.
Over 2 years on from getting the account up and running, on 29th August 2019, I decided to start properly using this account for recreational use.
Some folks may recognise me by my style of art and in time, more may know who I was up until 2016 and after I did a lot of soul-searching and reinventing, but you can call me Nell for now! And other character names, when I get 'round to that.
Nice to meet you all!

Concerns on new FA Feature...y'know...This Thing --> (G)
So...why is this a thing?
Why are journals now having to go under a Rating System?
FA post-Dragoneer has been so weirdly frustrating. This is one of the last, so-called "unspoiled" classic-style art community sites left and while it's great that it's against generative AI and the troublesome nonsense of payment providers vilifying safe and consensually-done NSFW means of income, it has also been affected by some of the worst value-shifts in the greater community and we only just got out of the feeling that that was going to steer the site's future when suddenly, this thing comes along.
We don't know how this is going to be policed but if it's going to be that strongly, would any actions taken against inappropriately-rated journals actually make sense re: the Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines or is this going to begin extending to people criticising the admin/mod teams of FA for using these tools to silence others merely out of selfish fickleness? Or those linking to alternate places they can be at where they'd feel more safe expressing themselves without any harm to others but is against FA staff's own personal subjective standards of acceptability?
And if it's affecting journals, what next? Are people's bios going to be affected too? By that point, you might as well just make it so others rate their entire pages via the Content Advisory ratings...while that in itself can be useful for those users who have accounts solely for NSFW and depend on NSFW art specifically for their livelihoods, what if Those Types of People feel that's not enough? Then we may have the whole damn website shutter all their SFW reachabilities, including all SFW art rated General, throwing all asexual people under the bus and becoming one more site online buckling to worrying international hyper-censorship.
Perhaps, as I'm me and this is my best skill, I'm overthinking. Maybe this is more tin-foil-hat than it ought to be, but...I don't know, given the main admin's contentious track-record for these first few years they handled things, I worry that this thing that people're at worst looking at and saying "huh, okay" will become the next hard step into FA buckling under the so-called world that more than ever doesn't want it to exist.
...guess maybe the first sign of anything is to see if journals like this get affected. Will this get deleted without me realising? Will I get a warning to re-rate this using a tenuous excuse? I've screencapped this, so let's find out...
...once again, one more kick to my bum to hurry up with making the "Infinifennec" site happen... >.>
