This may prove to be a mistake.... (G)
I don’t Usually comment on social and certainly not political things but there are a few things that I have to say....
With all of the divisive talk going around these days, I think it’s important that we remind ourselves of some basic things.
We absolutely must remember to give our fellow human the benefit of the doubt and be gracious with one another. You never truly know what kind of day someone is having and speaking some degree of kindness or at the very least positivity, could make a HUGE difference in someone’s day. What if the little bit of kindness you spoke to someone made them decide NOT hurt themselves or someone else? Obviously we will always have our disagreements, but we must not be divided and turned against each other when we have FAR more in common than we have differences. If the world is on fire, and frankly I think it is, then we have to be the water that cools it off. We must decide on an individual level to be the change we wish to see in the world. Obviously injustice and prejudices must be addressed and confronted, but we must be careful that we do not attempt to fight these fires with more fire as that only ensures that things we want to save/restore/reform/etc are lost In the flames. There is no greater tragedy than friends and family being divided over one or two things when we have so many more things in common. Wishing peace and prosperity to all of you.
