They say any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. In the case of Veist, they would be correct in this assumption. An adaptive, living robot powered by a small nuclear reactor, primarily utilizing Uranium-235 to power itself. Thankfully for everyone involved this reactor is incredibly well secured within the body, and the AI which runs the hardware that is Veist is incredibly unlikely to turn on humanity even with self awareness. No one is completely certain when this Veist model became self aware, but theories speculate the Artificial Intelligence housed within it's shell was given a 'soul'. Others believe it was simply a result of machine learning mixed with a past mission which almost resulted in total system failure. Due to this near 'death' experience, it appears the Artificial Intelligence within Veist has attained that spark of life which all of humanity can relate to in one way or another: A zest for existence, a want to learn about the universe beyond her simple programming and mission objectives. The truth of the matter is much simpler than that: The Artificial Intelligence housed within this Veist model was one of the first experiments designated as: '100111100' which is Binary for 316 (Or 3:16) a reference to the well-quoted and famous bible verse John 3:16, which states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son. That who ever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
