Hello furs of the world, but more specifically of the US, I'm here to speak to you about an important topic. I hope that you will take the time to actually read for it concerns all of us, as humans. First among my concerns is the slow loss of our rights over the years, and in light of revolutionary protests around the world, they should be in your mind as well. I'm also here to speak to you about the group known as Anonymous, but that will come later. Many of you frequent the internet, or are regular gamers, so I assume many of you have heard mention of this group.

The following text is a transcript of an Anonymous message to the world. I found the message to be quite inspiring, I hope you do as well. I've tweaked it here and there, though.
Are you frustrated with what your daily life has become? Be honest. Are you truly happy with how the world works, or do you see where some changes could be made? Tired of feeling like money is all that life is about? Who are you really working for in the end?
People of the world, we stand at a unique time in our history. The rise of the Internet and computer technology has contributed to an unparalleled rate of prosperity for the first world. We have created for ourselves an empire unlike any other: a global network of constant trade and communication, and a new age of technological advancement. We have come a long way from our humble roots in the industrial revolution, and the days of manifest destiny.
We are now pioneers on new digital frontiers expanding our domain, and yet, the empire faces a crisis: a global recession, growing poverty, rampant violence, corruption in politics, and threats to personal freedom. As it was before in other times of crisis, the old stories have begun to repeat themselves. The half-truths, this time, are repeated nightly on cable news, and echoed onto the Internet. They tell us to trust them. They say the empire is strong, change is unwise, and business as usual is the answer. If you work hard enough, the collective strength of many shall fix the problems of this nation.
In times of uncertainty, there are those who seek to add to the confusion so as to prey on our insecurities and fears. There are those who seek to keep us divided for their own gain. This pervasive strategy, divide and conquer, takes many convincing forms: Liberals and conservatives, christians and muslims, blacks and whites, saved and sinners, But something unexpected is happening.
We have begun telling each other our own stories. We are sharing our lives, our hopes and dreams; even our demons. Every second, day in and day out, into all hours of the night, the gritty details of life on this earth are streaming around the world. As we see the lives of others played out before us in our living room, we are beginning to understand the consequences of our actions and the error of the old ways.
We are questioning the old assumptions: that we are made to consume and not to create, that the world was made for our taking, that wars are inevitable, and that poverty is unavoidable. As we learn more about our global community, a fundamental truth has been rediscovered. We are not so different as we may seem. Every human has strengths, weakness, and emotions. We crave love, fear being alone, love laughter, and hope for a better life.
You must create a better life. You cannot sit on the couch, watching television or playing video games, waiting for someone to fix things. If no one is willing to try, who is going to? Who is going to save us if EVERYONE expects someone else to do it? How can ANYONE make a change if no one is willing to listen to each other? Do we need to put everything on the TV just to make someone listen? We MUST come together. The fates of people around the globe are intertwined in a world as connected as this.
Every time you choose to not exercise your rights, Every time you refuse to hear another viewpoint, every time you ignore the world around you, every time you spend a dollar at a business that doesn't pay a fair wage, you are contributing to the oppression of the human body, and the repression of each other’s minds.
You have a choice. A choice to take the easy path, the familiar path, to walk willingly into your own submission, or you can choose: to get up and go talk to your neighbor, to come together in new forums, to create lasting and meaningful change for the human race. I want you to be with me. I want you to be with us all. I'm tired of living in a world where people are living for themselves and not each other. People around the world are coming together, even at this very moment. People are finally fighting for a better world.

Before I get much further though, I must tell you about my experience within this wonderful family known as the fandom. I would like to assure you that I am indeed another fur, but as for now, I shall remain anonymous. I chose the moniker Unbearable for a reason, and no it's not a bear pun. The reason is, When I first came to the fandom, I did so under duress from the outside world, as many of us do. Society in general was becoming so unbearable that I sought an escape. I needed a new beginning. There are many other things that are quickly becoming unbearable in the world, though most don't care to look, out of ignorance or fear. I'm reaching out to you all now because i'm sick of living in a world where people live for themselves and not each other. It's unbearable to see others not caring about the world. The state of the country, and very much the world as well, should be of importance to us all. World events will affect us all, especially in a time where everything is so connected. To quote Martin Luther King, Jr.,"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
The fandom is indeed a wonderful thing. It's a place where one may explore every facet of their personality without fear. Even if someone speaks out against what you like, which rarely happens anyways, there is always a large section of furs who share the same feelings. Every single interest has been incorporated into the fandom, and this truly speaks to the grandness of it all. I often think, about why people are drawn to the fandom, and at the most basic levels, I could only think of two reasons. The simpler of the two is for relations. We are indeed creatures of love, for that is what we come seeking, is it not? We seek that which brings many together; love and comfort, which, as humans, we all seek.
Now, I know that everything is situational and I do not group everyone into this category, but we all come here searching for something better than we had, don't we? Whether you're here to free yourself from a feeling of oppression because you're different, or you're looking, in a way, for a new family, we all came seeking something better. This desire to seek that which is better for ourselves is a uniting trait for all of us on the basic level. We seek a better life for ourselves, and often for our friends and family, which the fandom often becomes for many. This is the second reason as to why we come. We hope for a better life, and regardless of the means, the focus is almost always the same.
This is why I write to you. We want something better from this world, but many have not found their voice, for they have been hiding away from the prying and judgemental eyes of this broken world. I know many of us feel as though we are just waiting to die. We are dying while trying to make the best out of life in between. I know I felt the same way. When I was young, only 8 years old, I used to wish people would kidnap me, or rape me, or murder me. afterwards, I was just waiting to die, I felt as though I had no reason to live.
I have found purpose though. I choose to live to make this world a better place. I live for all the people in the world who may feel oppressed, or depressed, or left behind. I live for peace, justice, truth, honor, and love: Things to live for, and things to die for. I tell you now, there is hope. I tell you now, the time has come. People are coming together now.
This brings me to the story of Anonymous. Founded in the depths of /b/, the random image board of 4chan. It began as nothing more than a group of people who reveled in the free speech allowed within /b/, but now it has grown, and evolved to something much, much more.
Anonymous is not a terrorist organization as the government is leading many to believe. on a side note, not all recent hacks are perpetrated by the main group of Anonymous. True they attack companies, but only as a protest to bring attention to the injustices perpetrated by the target. Current targets are Iranian and Turkish governments who are currently oppressing the revolutions rising within their country, as well as a chemical producer known as Monsanto. To give you an example, the Sony outage was caused by a splinter group known as Lulz security, and they only hack things for the fun of it. Anonymous fights for truth, justice, and freedom. They encourage personal and political awareness while fighting against the corruption worldwide by spreading information about what is really going on. This is why the government fears them so.
They are you.
They are me.
They are all of us.
Help spread the truth about Anonymous and their crusade for free speech and justice!
Help spread the truth about the banking system, and how they are destabilizing third world countries and their economies!
Help spread the truth about the "bailout" which paid the very people who caused our economic crisis in the first place!
